FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

What is MediBridge Advantage?

MediBridge Advantage is a Medicare advisory service led by licensed agent Peter G. McDonald, helping individuals understand their Medicare options and choose the right Medicare Advantage or Supplement plan for their needs. We’re not here to sell you — we’re here to guide you.

Do I have to pay for your services?

No. Our consultations are completely free. You won’t pay anything to work with MediBridge Advantage. We’re compensated by the insurance carriers — not by you — and there’s no added cost to your plan.

What’s the difference between Medicare Advantage and a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan?

Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces your original Medicare and often includes drug coverage and extra benefits like dental or vision — typically with lower premiums but HMO or PPO networks.

Medicare Supplement plans work alongside original Medicare to cover gaps like deductibles and co-pays — usually with higher premiums but more flexibility.

We’ll help you compare both and choose what fits your lifestyle best.

How do I know if my doctors and prescriptions are covered?

That’s part of what we do for you. During your consultation, we’ll ask for your preferred doctors, specialists, hospitals, and medications — then we match you with a plan that keeps them covered whenever possible.

What if I travel or live part of the year in another state?

Great question — travel can impact which type of plan is best for you. If you're away from your ZIP code for more than 3 months at a time, we’ll help you explore PPO or Supplement plans that offer broader networks and flexibility.

I have a chronic condition. Can you help with that?

Absolutely. Some Medicare Advantage plans are designed specifically for people with chronic illnesses like diabetes, COPD, or heart disease. We’ll help you explore Chronic Special Needs Plans (C-SNPs) or other options that include support, savings, and better care coordination.

When can I enroll in a Medicare plan?

You can enroll during:

Initial Enrollment Period – around your 65th birthday

Annual Enrollment Period – October 15 to December 7 each year

Special Enrollment Periods – after certain life changes like moving or losing employer coverage

We’ll let you know if you qualify for any special windows.

Is MediBridge Advantage affiliated with Humana or any one company?

We work independently, which means we’re able to offer options from Humana and other trusted carriers — all depending on what works best for your needs, your doctors, and your budget.

How do I get started?
